The cities. The Palazzo offers a place where to start your discovery of the nearby cities rich in centuries of history. Bologna with its arcades and towers, Ferrara and the Estensi, Ravenna with its mosaics, mausoleums and churches. All are less than an hour away by car
WHAT TO DO
THE DELTA AND THE VALLEYS
Not far away you can find the wetlands of the Valley of Marmorta and Vallesanta, which offer the opportunity to go hiking and birdwatching in a paradise populated with thousands of specimens of water birds.
We are also close to the town of Comacchio and the Po river Delta, the largest oasis in Italy, with the possibility of excursions by bike, horse or boat with views of the ancient fishing huts.
Our land has also a great tradition of food and wine, in the surroundings you can find “osterie”, taverns and farmhouses where you can taste excellent food, but also at the Palazzo, upon reservation, we can organize brunches, lunches or dinners in partnership with our selected suppliers.
The local tradition also offers a special selection of products, to be tasted on site or to take away at the end of your stay. In particular, Molinella is known for some typical products certified by DE.CO.
OUR GUIDED TOURS
In collaboration with the tourist offices of Bologna and Ferrara we can organize tours with tourist guides to visit cities, exhibitions or museums, or to guide you in nature trails. Excursions in the area are possible on foot, on horseback or by bike and, why not, even in flight as in Molinella there is the largest skydiving centre in Italy, where there are also classes and rental services of ultralight and gliders.
